1. Don't wear a camelbak during back to back rides if as we will be you only have 1 set of kit as your back gets soaking and your kit won't dry in time.

2. Pertex kit is awesome, luckily I had two Montaine layers with me so I could help Greg out who bought along an Endura windsheeter 100% polyester which is now in a field somewhere above Pontypridd.

3. Don't put your glasses on the back of your head , you will think you have lost them and freak out!!

4.Lasagne is too heavy just before an hour climb after lunch!

5. We are getting there 2 x 8 hours in the saddle and we feel OK on Monday, progress is being made.

6. Chamois butter really does work


Let's hope we keep a note of these for when we are away...happy riding!
