The last two weeks has seen us in Mid Wales for a two day training weekend, an amazing trip with some brilliant fire roads to climb up on and some of the best natural riding around and heading out on route 47 to Neath getting in some reasonable miles. We seem to be able to hit 70 miles off road now no problem and recovery the next day is improving, a key marker for us. Wit the winter closing in it's going to difficult to get the long rides in but as long as we get 6-8 hours in on the weekends we can come out of the winter with a good base of training.
My personal wattage seems to be around 160-180 watts with a steady 120 heart rate and after a spin class I seem to be comfortable holding 120 -130 watts as a recovery pace. I'd ideally like to hit 200 watts for a 120 heart rate closer to the event to ensure I can sustain a good pace going round.
